Family Play Time — FAQ

Q1. Is this a class or coaching session?

A: No. Family Play Time is a self-guided, open play session.
There is no coaching, no drills, and no structured activities.
Families simply use the courts freely and enjoy time together.

Q2. Who can join Family Play Time?

A: It is exclusively for current 03 IBC students and their immediate families.
At least one child in the household must be enrolled at 03 IBC.

Q3. How many people are included in one family membership?

A: One membership covers your entire immediate family
(parents/guardians and children living in the same household).
There is no extra per-person fee for family members.

Q4. Do parents need prior badminton experience?

A: Not at all. Many parents are beginners.
Family Play Time is meant to be easy, relaxed, and welcoming
a great opportunity for parents to play and learn together with their kids.

Q5. Do we need to reserve our spot every week?

A: No reservation is needed.
Once you have a membership, you may drop in any Sunday between 3:00–5:00 PM.
If the session reaches capacity, we may rotate courts so all families get fair play time.

Q6. What if we miss a Sunday? Can we make it up later?

A: The membership is based on monthly access, not per-session credits,
so missed Sundays cannot be carried over.
Most families find that coming 2–3 times a month already feels very worthwhile.

Q7. Can we bring friends to Family Play Time?

A: Yes! Each family membership includes one free guest per session.
Additional guests may join for a $12 drop-in fee per person.
Guests do not need to be 03 students — this is a perfect chance for kids to invite a friend
or for new families to experience badminton with you.

Q8. Are shuttles and rackets provided?

A: We provide shuttles each session.
Families are encouraged to bring their own rackets.

Q9. Is there an age requirement for kids?

A: As long as the child is a current 03 IBC student, they can join regardless of age.
Younger children should be supervised by a parent at all times.
